The general feeling is understandable: there is more time, less immediate urgency and room to continue operating as before. <\/p><p data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1082\">However, this reading, although humane, is incomplete.<\/p><p data-start=\"1084\" data-end=\"1390\">The extension does not change the meaning of the rule, nor its scope, nor the control model that the Administration is building. The only thing that changes is the timetable. And when the timetable relaxes, an opportunity appears that many organizations miss: to <strong data-start=\"1347\" data-end=\"1389\">decide with criteria, and not under pressure<\/strong>.  <\/p><p data-start=\"1392\" data-end=\"1557\">Because Veri*Factu is not a procedure to be fitted into a future agenda. It is a structural change in the way we understand the control of the invoicing process. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9d769cf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9d769cf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What Veri*Factu really is (and what it is not)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dfe3e5f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dfe3e5f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p> <\/p><p data-start=\"1610\" data-end=\"1798\">Veri*Factu is not a system for sending information to the IRS, nor a &#8220;light&#8221; version of the SII. It is a model that acts at the origin of the process: at the moment the invoice is generated. <\/p><p data-start=\"1800\" data-end=\"1892\">The regulations require that computerized billing systems ensure that each invoice:<\/p><ul><li data-start=\"1895\" data-end=\"1915\">is born with integrity,<\/li><li data-start=\"1918\" data-end=\"1945\">leaves a verifiable trace,<\/li><li data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"1990\">cannot be altered without leaving evidence,<\/li><li data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2042\">and can be technically and documentarily verified.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2244\">This is a significant change compared to previous approaches, where control took place a posteriori. With Veri*Factu, the focus clearly shifts to <strong data-start=\"2205\" data-end=\"2219\">prevention<\/strong>, not correction. <\/p><p data-start=\"2246\" data-end=\"2328\">Therefore, to reduce Veri*Factu to &#8220;just another obligation&#8221; is to misunderstand its real scope.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-93ed64c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"93ed64c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Extension of deadlines. Less urgency, same responsibility <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9030ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c9030ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2290\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2390\" data-end=\"2659\">The extension of deadlines communicated by the Tax Agency responds to an obvious reality: the technical impact of Veri*Factu on invoicing systems is not minor. Correctly adapting processes requires analysis, tests and well-founded decisions. <\/p><p data-start=\"2661\" data-end=\"2800\">However, the extension does not eliminate the obligation or lower the technical requirements. It simply allows additional time to get it right. <\/p><p data-start=\"2802\" data-end=\"3085\">Here appears the difference between two types of organizations. Those that interpret the extension as a reason to wait, and those that understand it as a <strong data-start=\"2957\" data-end=\"2994\">window to decide without urgency<\/strong>. The latter are those that tend to avoid improvised solutions and subsequent cost overruns.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5dd6604 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5dd6604\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Veri*Factu and SII. A comparison that should be made calmly <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fee43d2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fee43d2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p> <\/p><p data-start=\"3159\" data-end=\"3380\">One of the side effects of Veri<em data-start=\"3197\" data-end=\"3313\">Factu has been reopening the debate on the SII. Many companies, having found that being in SII exempts them from applying Veri <\/em>Factu, have interpreted this option as a natural escape route.<\/p><p data-start=\"3382\" data-end=\"3452\">The problem is that Veri*Factu and SII respond to very different logics.<\/p><p data-start=\"3454\" data-end=\"3731\">The SII is a system of almost immediate supply of tax information. It requires reporting a high volume of data in very short periods of time, with constant operational pressure. It is a demanding model, designed for organizations with the structural capacity to assume this burden.  <\/p><p data-start=\"3733\" data-end=\"4038\">Veri*Factu, on the other hand, does not increase the reporting rate. It reinforces the quality and reliability of the data from the moment the invoice is generated. This approach, focused solely on &#8220;being on time&#8221;, often results in tactical solutions that are poorly integrated and difficult to sustain over time. The standard is met, but control is not gained.  <\/p><p data-start=\"671\" data-end=\"1148\">However, <strong>Veri*Factu raises a much deeper question that goes beyond the legal<\/strong>. It begs the question of whether there really is centralized, consistent and demonstrable control over the billing process. When that question is asked honestly, many organizations discover that the real challenge is not the regulation itself, but the absence of a clear layer of governance over tax compliance.
