Necessary functions, yes, but usually managed from technical departments, with little connection to strategic decision making. Compliance was important, but not decisive. That balance changes definitively in 2026.   <\/p><p data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"1254\">Not because a single disruptive standard appears, but because the set of <strong>regulatory changes<\/strong> consolidates a new compliance model. A model in which <strong>safety, occupational health, sustainability<\/strong>and product compliance are no longer evaluated in isolation, but are understood as a single, traceable and auditable system. In this new <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1159\">EHS and Product Compliance<\/strong> framework <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1159\">in 2026<\/strong>, compliance is no longer enough: you must continuously and consistently demonstrate compliance.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9d769cf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9d769cf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The end of the fragmented model<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dfe3e5f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"dfe3e5f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p> <\/p><p data-start=\"1295\" data-end=\"1656\">Many organizations continue to operate under a legacy approach. <strong>Risk prevention<\/strong> is managed as an internal obligation; sustainability as a <em data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1475\">reporting<\/em> exercise; <strong>product compliance<\/strong> as a technical function linked to quality, legal or engineering. Each area generates its own documentation, its own indicators and its own narrative.  <\/p><p data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1736\">For years, this model has been sufficient. As of 2026, it will no longer be sufficient. <\/p><p data-start=\"1738\" data-end=\"1998\">The <strong>new regulatory requirements<\/strong> do not analyze isolated areas, but the coherence of the whole. People, processes, product and data are evaluated in an integrated manner. When this information is not connected, the problem is no longer operational. It is strategic.   <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-93ed64c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"93ed64c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">What really changes after 2026<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c9030ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c9030ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2290\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"2047\" data-end=\"2269\">The progressive tightening of the <strong>regulatory framework<\/strong> introduces requirements that directly affect the way companies operate and the way they manage compliance. Among the most relevant changes are: <\/p><ul><li data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2478\"><strong>Increasingly individualized risk assessments<\/strong>, incorporating variables such as age, gender, special conditions or new risks associated with teleworking, digitalization and climate change.<\/li><li data-start=\"2481\" data-end=\"2624\"><strong>Strengthening of health surveillance<\/strong> and mandatory evaluation of psychosocial risks, regardless of the size of the organization.<\/li><li data-start=\"2627\" data-end=\"2818\"><strong>Requirement for<\/strong> real <strong>digital traceability<\/strong> in the face of inspections and audits: it is no longer enough to have documentation; it is necessary to demonstrate consistency, updating and systematic control.<\/li><li data-start=\"2821\" data-end=\"2971\"><strong>Obligation to publish carbon footprint<\/strong> and define emission reduction plans, directly linking sustainability and market access.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2973\" data-end=\"3152\">These changes do not add up in isolation. They overlap. And it is in that overlap that EHS and Product Compliance can no longer be managed as separate disciplines.  <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5dd6604 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5dd6604\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">When EHS and Product Compliance become the same problem<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fee43d2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fee43d2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p> <\/p><p data-start=\"3230\" data-end=\"3527\">In the new scenario, a failure in safety and health management no longer remains in the preventive area. It has an impact on product traceability, on the credibility of environmental data and on the <strong>company&#8217;s ability to justify its compliance<\/strong> to customers, administrations and partners. <\/p><p data-start=\"3529\" data-end=\"3815\">Similarly, a product whose sustainability cannot be substantiated by <strong>reliable operational data<\/strong> is no longer viable in certain markets, tenders or supply chains. Scattered documentation, spreadsheets, unconnected repositories and manual controls may be useful for day-to-day management, but not for sustaining the level of demand that is coming. <\/p><p data-start=\"4352\" data-end=\"4591\">The problem is not efficiency. When compliance depends on <strong>fragmented systems<\/strong>, the company does not control risk; it simply relies on not being inspected. In 2026, that is no longer a valid strategy.  <\/p><p data-start=\"4648\" data-end=\"4851\">The instinctive response to this new scenario is usually to add more <strong>procedures, more controls and more administrative burden<\/strong>. Such an approach increases complexity, but does not solve the underlying problem. <\/p><p data-start=\"4853\" data-end=\"5217\">The <strong>real challenge is architectural<\/strong>: to have systems capable of connecting people, processes and product, generating unique, coherent and governed data. Only from this integration is it possible to move from reactive compliance, based on gathering evidence a posteriori, to a preventive model, where evidence is generated as a natural part of the operation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1aaa33a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1aaa33a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Anticipate or assume the cost<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6ed994a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6ed994a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"4655\" data-end=\"4896\"> <\/p><p data-start=\"5258\" data-end=\"5454\">In 2026, the difference between organizations that control compliance and those that suffer from it will not be in their knowledge of the standard, but in how they have prepared their systems to sustain it.<\/p><p data-start=\"5456\" data-end=\"5743\"><strong>Companies that maintain fragmented models will assume greater risks<\/strong>: sanctions, marketing blockages, loss of strategic contracts and reputational exposure. Those that integrate EHS and Product Compliance as a single control and traceability system will operate at an advantage. <\/p><p data-start=\"5745\" data-end=\"6002\">Because in the new scenario, <strong data-start=\"5775\" data-end=\"5802\">data is the audit<\/strong>. And understanding the impact of <strong data-start=\"5831\" data-end=\"5867\">EHS and Product Compliance in 2026<\/strong> is no longer a technical issue, but a strategic decision that conditions the company&#8217;s ability to operate, compete and grow. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4f240bb elementor-align-center
